Vibrate Dance Programme  
 
 

Niamh Condron, worked in Roscommon and Westmeath as Dancer in Residence in 2005 and was artistic director of Vibrate Dance Festival in 2005, 2006 and 2007. The residency was an interactive collaboration and partnership between Westmeath and Roscommon County Council Arts Offices and Sports Partnerships who devised a programme for the development of contemporary dance in the greater Athlone and South Roscommon region.

The Athlone Dance Residency Programme and Vibrate Dance Festival was awarded funding under the Arts Council’s Partnership Scheme in 2005 and is also funded by Dance Ireland, The Arts Council and the Irish Sports Council’s Challenge Scheme through Westmeath Sports Partnership as well as both Westmeath and Roscommon County Council.

Westmeath County Caouncil, continued a dance development programme in Athlone through its percent for art scheme for which further information can be found below.
