The Arts Department of Roscommon County Council is located beside the Curraghboy roundabout at -
Roscommon West Business Park,
Circular Road,
Roscommon .
It is its
policy of Roscommon County Council to actively encourage the development and accommodate the breadth
of creative activity in the county. We achieves this
by providing greater opportunity and access to arts events, workshops,
information and expertise, encouraging greater appreciation and participation
in the arts generally for people of all ages and backgrounds and promoting
the development of practitioners in the county.
The Arts Office provides information, advice and assistance to a wide
range of clients. These include artists, arts groups, arts festivals
and events organisers, venues, amateur and community arts groups,
schools, organisations incorporating arts projects in non-arts settings,
and other local and national public bodies. It develops and co-ordinates
a number of programmes independently and in association with these
partners. The Arts Office also develops policies in relation to various
aspects of the arts.
You can find out about the various programmes the arts office is involved in by using the menu on the left. You will also find information and application forms for all the grants and bursary schemes available through the arts office.
Finally we encourage all our website users to join our new on-line mailing list so that we can keep you informed of all events and opportunities happening in the county. We would also encourage all our artists and arts organisations to join the arts database. Also, if you are organising an arts event don't forget to submit details of it for our events diary.
